Who is for it or against it? I prefer not to have it. This question is like asking someone if they like Ford Mustangs or Chevy Camaros.Its up to personal needs whether or not a thumb safety is a wise idea or not. For someone who's been shooting Glocks for a decade, its probably a bad idea. For someone who's been carrying a 1911 for that same period of time, its a great idea. As long as you own a functional firearm with the skill to put the rounds where you need them who cares whether you like the safety, dont like the safety, prefer a silver slide to a blued slide, small backstrap, large backstrap, etc.
